Welcome to Westside Elementary School!
My name is Natosha Weddle and I am pleased to serve as your assistant principal. I have been an educator for seventeen years. My career in education began in Bedford County as an elementary classroom teacher. Later I transitioned into the role of a math specialist and became a division Title 1 instructional coach. I came to Roanoke City Public Schools in 2019 as a mathematics teacher, then moved into an elementary instructional coach position before becoming the assistant principal at Westside. I am student-centered educational leader and believe that all students can achieve.
I love learning and have always sought to continue my education. I hold a B.A. degree in marketing and communications and a master’s degree in teaching (MAT) from Mary Baldwin University. I completed my second master’s degree (Ed.S) in curriculum and instruction, with an endorsement as a mathematics specialist, at Virginia Tech. Most recently, I completed my doctoral work in educational leadership (Ed.D) from Liberty University.
I live with my husband, a graduate of Roanoke City Public Schools, two teenage sons, and our two dogs, Tilley and Buxton. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and traveling.
I am honored to be part of the Westside team and look forward to all that we will accomplish together. I hope you have a wonderful 2022-2023 school year.
